I never really know what to write for these things or how to describe myself. I tend to be somewhat geeky. I enjoy books, video games and anime. My life tends to be long stretches of peaceful days, punctuated by random crazy adventures. I often end up in the newspapers, for instance. I was asked to model for three different artists and a photographer, two were sculptors (one did statues, on figurines) and one was a painter, and the photographer was putting together a book. I've been on the history channel and the discovery channel, and have been known to respond to the question "do you want to be on tv?" with "What, again?" You've never been to a museum till you've been to one with me. And if you like history or archaeology, how does getting to participate in an actual archaeological dig sound? I've taken friends on them, including to famous sites such as Valley Forge. Because why just got to a museum when you can get your name in one? You never know what each day will bring with me.
I'm not just a geek, however. I also study martial arts and enjoy a lot of physical activities. I enjoy the outdoors, and camping, hiking or kayaking. I don't really watch sports, but I enjoy playing them from time to time, even if it's just frisbee on the beach.
I'm generally pretty open to trying new things. I may not always like it, but I'll give most things a shot. I'm also not usually shy, I'm not afraid to get out there and have the spotlight on me at times. I often do things just to laugh at the reactions I get from other people.
I am somewhat involved in the historical world, working with a local volunteer archaeology group, but I'm not as passionate about it as some of my other family members. It's an interesting hobby, but I'm not obsessive about it.
One of my major highlights each year is going to Otakon, a huge anime convention. I love making my own costumes for it, and would love to have someone to cosplay with, or who would at least be willing to accept that it is something I do. I'd hope that you would at least be willing to try it once, though.
I have also recently started getting more into cooking. I've been having fun experimenting with new recipes and seeing what I can make. Though I do prefer to cook for someone else, as it just seems like a waste to go to all that effort when it is just me.
I'm looking for someone who I can have fun with, but also someone that I can enjoy quiet times with. I can be very wild and playful at times, but I also have a quiet side and serious sides and philosophical sides. I also tend to be very physically affectionate in a relationship. Even if it is just a touch, or holding hands, I like to make contact. I can be romantic as well. I often send little gifts or messages to let you know I'm thinking of you. For instance, if I hear a song on the radio that I think you'd like or that makes me think of you I'll find it and send you a copy. Or I'll send flowers just because I thought you needed a smile.
Loyalty is a big thing for me, along with trust. I would never cheat, and could not be with someone who does. I'd have to trust you and you'd have to trust me to make things work.
I'm trying to find a long term or permanent relationship. I don't expect every person I go out with to work out, but I do want that possibility of long term commitment to be there. I don't just want a fling, I want a partner, an equal.
